Place your carts in the street with the wheels against the curb and the arrow on the lid pointing toward the street. For all other holidays, your service will be on schedule. If your scheduled service day falls on or after a holiday, then your service day may be delayed by one day. Visit Republic Services to view your pick up schedule. Empty containers must be removed from the curb by 8 pm. All containers should be placed at the curb by 7 am. Trash, recycling and yard waste will be collected any time between 7 am and 6 pm on service days.

Tips to reduce the amount of trash you throw away For larger volumes of materials consider using one of your free annual yard waste or landfill passes. If you have extra trash that does not fit in your trash cart, please contact Republic Services in advance of your service day for a larger cart or to buy special trash bags at a discounted price. Trash placed outside of your cart will be subject to an extra collection charge. Place all materials inside the proper carts and make sure that the lids are closed to prevent littering and to protect the contents from weather and pests. Your trash service fee is based upon the size trash cart you select. These larger item collections must be scheduled with the Solid Waste Division and are currently collected by date of call.Republic Services offers three sizes of black trash carts. Do not place your item next to the dumpster it needs to be behind your home, in the alley. These items must be placed in the alley in the city right-of-way the city will not go onto private property. Charges for these containers are billed on the customers' current water bill or set up through Customer Service. These containers are 30 cubic yard open-tops. Each customer with curbside cart service has his or her own individual cart. One container is set for every four to five residents, where alleys are available. Residential garbage is picked up either Monday and Thursday, or Tuesday and Friday.
