You’ve got an employee who called out sick so you’re down a bartender. If you want to really find out what’s going on with your money, beef up your bar inventory skills and limit inventory only to management or your head bartender. Document all voids, spills, breakage, and comps. Also, have it be policy that only managers handle the cash drawer at the end of the night. With cameras in place, your staff will be less tempted to manipulate money behind your back. Safeguards:Īs I got to know more about the industry and finances, I understood that security cameras are a safeguard for many things: not just the possibility of employee theft, but, if someone broke in, there would be documentation too. Theft is written into law, while you can put it into your employee handbook/training as an extra precaution, this policy is backed up by the legal system. You don’t owe an employee an explanation beyond letting them know they’ve been caught stealing and do not qualify for unemployment. There is never a “good reason” for stealing from a business. Theft should always be a one-strike policy. Finally, theft is also staying on the clock while not doing work like being on your cell phone or taking a lot of smoke/bathroom breaks.
Also, theft is also purposely not ringing in an order and pocketing the cash. Theft is also giving away drink or food without permission. Theft isn’t just taking money out of the cash drawer either.
Some were so good at it, that it wasn’t until either they had already quit the bar that we discovered thousands in loss both in liquor and cash. Over the years, I’ve worked with people who have stolen from the place of employment. I’ve found there’s generally five categories that most firings fall under, but none of these is also without coaching possibilities/safeguards that help diminish them. Whatever side you’re sitting on, there’s nothing comfortable about the situation, but sometimes, it’s what has to be done. I've been digging in the distro folder for something obvious to send with this in the way of a config file, but I can't find anything. I took some time to fiddle with it to see. I have not been able to detect any other overlap between bars. I have NO stance setting active (I handle stances differently - manually). Bars 1 and 2 are 4 buttons each, bar 3 is 5, bar 4 is 4, bars 5-10 are 12, bag, micro, pet, vehicle all enabled and visible when in use. I don't know how helpful this is, but I use ALL of the bars. Only occurs on my RESTO DRUID character, not on my Hunter, Demon Hunter, Mage, Rogue, Shammy, Priest, or any of the other classes I have (everything except DK - don't like DK). Any change in button contents for bar 1 is duplicated for bar 7 and vice-versa. What I'm seeing is that they appear to be mirroring one another. I would expect to see bars 1 and 7 behaving independently from one another. What is the expected output? What do you see instead? Delete it from one or the other and it deletes from the other one. Move a macro into any position in bar 1 and it duplicates in bar 7.Ĥ.
